Our Trip Home

Mathis blessed his son Crosby Mathis Harman on March 30th at his in-laws home in Alpine Utah. Our Mission President gave us permission to attend. It was so great to be there. Kent's
Parents and many friends and family came.

While we were there Mandys 8 year old son Jake was diagnosed with type one juvenile
Diabetes. They put him right in the hospital so we stayed a few extra days to help out. It was a tough first couple of day, but Jakey is becoming a champ at taking his blood sugar and his shots. We are so proud of him and love him so much!
It wasn't fun for Jake, but we had some fun cousin and grandpa time.
We snuck Mand away from the hospital for a birthday lunch. It is very rare all five of my kids are in one place all at once.  It was a great "girl" minute away. Love them all so much!!

I tried to smuggle this cute little bugger home in my luggage but his parents wouldn't let me:(

Our OTHER Job

Missionary apartment inspectors are our weekend titles. We find the most interesting mold, duct taped furniture and messy rooms. They don't even seem to care that I'm coming to see if they are trying to be clean. I asked the lovely gentlemen on the right when was the last time they vacuumed. The one that had been there since the first of Dec (four months previous) said" I think we have a vacuum behind one of these doors?? We've never used it:)" Elder Harman brings them donuts if they pass. They rarely do, but he gives them the treats anyway!

Boston Temple Trip

March 14-15 we made an (unauthorized) overnight
trip to the Boston Temple. We were unaware that we couldn't
spend the night out of the mission boundaries.
We also took the Ogdens and the Mooneys with us.
We don't like to get in trouble alone:)

It was a very fun trip. We had a little trouble with the parking meters but the food was good and the Bay and the sailboats were so wonderful after spending so much time in the frozen north!

FHE Group

I realize this isn't the best picture but I wanted to include these great people. We meet as a Family Home Evening group each Monday Night. We take turns giving a short lesson and then we eat a potluck that we all contribute to. Some of these lovelies only get out this one time a week. We are growing to love them more and more each time we meet!
Sometimes we share our talents like the Ogdens, who are
very musically talented on many instruments.
The Sister missionaries join us most weeks. They also come to the shop and do four hours of service with the FM missionaries every Tuesday.  Sister Smedley and Sister Houston are the best! Except when Elder Harman asks them to smile two hundred times:)

And the SNOW just kept coming.......

and coming......................

and coming...........................
and coming....................
it can be quite beautiful ....... but we started pretending that the snow on the branches were spring blossoms:)
